When I grow upWhen I grow upWhen I grow up

Every year, Charlie spends the summer on her grandparents’ farm, where she reunites with her cousins. Time passes, marked by small daily rituals. Between games, reading, and visits to the chickens, they share moments, learn together, and create lasting memories. In the gentle rhythm of a summer day, the little girl begins to wonder: what will become of them? What will she do when she grows up? Will they always stay together?

Told in an intimate first-person voice, this picture book explores questions about the future, growing up, transmission, and memory, capturing the depth of childhood impressions through expressive, colorful monotype illustrations.

Key Points:
• An intimate, first-person narrative that brings the reader close to the young heroine
• A picture book that raises questions about the future and accompanies a child’s growth
• A story about transmission and memory, in which everyone can recognize their own experiences
• The artistic strength of colorful monotypes to illustrate the emotional depth of childhood
