A young girl has recently moved with her mother into a huge, dark, crumbling building in the big city. As everyone knows, moving house is no walk in the park—it’s truly complicated. And imagine how hard it is when the new home is a creaky, poorly lit apartment…and full of very strange neighbors!
Everything feels disorienting, and all the chores and habits of the people who live in the building seem absurd and frightening, moreover during this week, as they seem to get also stranger and the girl really can’t imagine the reason…
So, by her close observation, we slowly enter the apartments of the residents knowing them one story after another…up to a final and suprising discover, which will help the girl relief and starting enjoying her new life and friends: everyhing is being prepared for a great Halloween party!
Little Horrors Building is a story about how what frightens us, or simply seems us “strange”, could actually hide tenderness and creativity: quirky characters and bizarre happenings only remember us that our differences could be a treasure, and that first impressions are often misleading.

Brian Freschi was born in 1993, he worked for years in theater and the performing arts. Since 2015, he has collaborated with the artistic collective Manticora, producing several comic volumes, and with publishing houses such as BAO Publishing, Il Castoro, Gemini Books, Re-belle Edizioni, Attaccapanni Press, and Space Otter Publishing. Since 2018, he has been creating illustrated books for children and young readers with Mondadori, Gribaudo/Feltrinelli, White Star, Slowfood, Sassi Junior, Pelledoca Editore, Mimebù, Il Gatto Verde, Hop Edizioni, Bacchilega Junior, and Bertoni. He has also worked with Gucci, Smemoranda, Fausto Coppi, Vini Banfi, Mad for Series, L’Inquieto Magazine, and UniFI: University of Florence. He teaches comic book storytelling at the TheSign Academy in Florence.

Giulia Pintus is a bittersweet illustrator. In 2015, together with her partner Alessandra Santelli, she founded the studio Foglie al Vento in Piacenza, where she still works today. Since 2017, she has published illustrated books in Italy and abroad with Logos Edizioni, Sassi Junior, Edizioni Corsare, A2Mimo, Santillana Educação, Cardinal Rule Press, Il Battello a Vapore, and Éditions Møtus. He books are translated and published in France, Us, Portugal, Belgium ( A2Mimo, Motus, Cardinal Rule Press, Santillana educacao).
