Author & Illustrator

Attilio Cassinelli (1923–2024), known simply as Attilio, was a visionary Italian painter, designer, and illustrator who transformed children’s publishing from the 1960s onward. Drawing from his background in advertising, he developed a legendary visual language defined by geometric clarity and essential forms. While his books and games gained widespread international acclaim, his creative journey saw a remarkable new chapter in 2016. Returning to publishing with projects created alongside his daughter Alessandra, he earned prestigious recognition, including the Bologna Ragazzi Award for Lifetime Achievement and numerous international honors.
