Plankton

Although invisible to the naked eye, plankton is everywhere. It makes up the majority of aquatic species and forms the foundation of the marine food chain. Often overlooked, it is nevertheless essential to the health of our ecosystems.

Author & Illustrator

Isabelle Collioud (author) is a former primary school teacher with a passion for nature. Her books focus on respect for the environment and sustainable development. She has collaborated with publishers including Glénat (Mon premier bain de forêt), Kilowatt (Rendez-vous sous la Manche, La petite reine de l’échiquier) and Grenouille (L’étonnant sommeil des animaux, Les chiens héros). She lives in Sauveterre, Occitanie, France.

Marion Barraud (illustrator): with her watercolours, she creates a vibrant world populated by quirky characters. She is the illustrator of Ma Cabane récup’ (Casterman), Le chemin de Léonie (L’École des Loisirs), La Laisse (MeMo) and Dans les yeux d’Harriet (La Pastèque), among others. She lives in Nantes, France.
