Shut away behind the walls of her palace, Princess Adénor feels suffocated: “Your Highness must not go outside, Your Highness must not remove your veil, Your Highness must not go swimming.” This is the refrain she has been hearing for years. Bénédicte first devoted herself to theatre, which she had practised since adolescence. Later, her passion for texts and books led her to found Éditions Cépages in Paris, where she lives. She has already published Le dessin de Tamana there, as well as English nursery rhymes for the Blooming collection.

Illustrator: Marion Sonet

A graduate of ESA Saint-Luc in Brussels, Marion Sonet lives in Besançon. Her illustrations focus particularly on coloured-pencil work. Inspired by Art Nouveau as well as cultures from around the world, she creates dreamlike worlds that leave plenty of room for the imagination. She has already published several children’s picture books, including La nuit au manoir and Mon ami with La Martinière Jeunesse, and Par-delà les sentiers with Alice.
