If we were to ask you to name the worst person you know,
who would come to mind?
It’s easy to remember those who, throughout history, have done a lot of harm. It’s more challenging to think about the people who have done good. Yet, there are many of them. They belong to different eras, societies, and cultures. They have existed and continue to exist. This volume tells the stories of some of them. Original, true, capable of shedding light on ethical issues that touch the minds and hearts of young people.

◊ Thought-provoking narrative
Moves beyond abstract theory by grounding big moral themes in memorable, concrete acts
of bravery.
