Droppings help transport seeds and encourage plants to germinate. They can be used to repel predators with their unpleasant smell, to camouflage animals, to mark territory — and for many other remarkable purposes.

Véronique Barrau (author) is constantly researching, writing books and exploring the natural world in search of new treasures. She is the author of around forty books, published by Dupuis, Plume de Carotte, Grenouille, Rue des Enfants and other publishers. She lives in Montséret, Occitanie, France.

Alexandre Géraudie (illustrator) collaborates with children’s magazines and newspapers, including Astrapi, J’Aime Lire Max, Georges Magazine and Biscoto. He has also published several humorous comic books with FLBLB, Biscoto Editions and Misma. He lives in Toulouse, France.
