Marion Traoré was born in Troyes, married a Malian… and married Africa. She has been a schoolteacher in Burkina Faso since several years. Her first two picture books,

Paratou, the bush umbrella and Konoba, have been translated into English language. A self-taught author and illustrator, she tells stories that offer young readers a different perspective on Africa and its people.
