A sweet story about the importance of giving, with delicate and detailed illustrations. A visual feast for the imagination.
Madì is a little blue bird who lives in a forest where flowers of every shape and colour grow wonderfully. He waters them every day and, at night, he dreams only of flowers. But one night, three creatures, attracted by the scent of the flowers, arrive in the forest.
They have never seen a flower before. What a beauty! How wonderful it would be if flowers could sprout and grow on their island, too! Will Madì help them make their dream come true? Of course he will! And in return, he receives a key and a shell that sounds like the ocean. Madì has never seen the Ocean. Maybe he can embark on a journey to the island where the three creatures live… and even learn to swim! A homage to the power of friendship and the rewards of helping others, captured in enchanting prose and magnificent, colourful artwork.
