Ludivine and Victoire are racing. 1, 2, 3, go! Except that Victoire is a slug — a real giant slug. She is a little slow, which is perfectly normal for a slug. So even though she gives it everything she has to win, Ludivine has to wait for her a little, otherwise it wouldn’t be much fun. To pass the time, Ludivine keeps herself busy as best she can: she does a handstand, gives herself an impromptu skincare treatment, dresses up and even goes so far as to do a little tidying up in the woods!

Slightly zany and full of humour, this picture book, created entirely from cut paper, tells the story of a race like no other. The kind of race you have with friends, one you don’t really want to win — or lose, for that matter. Because, after all, why do we race, if not to share a moment with friends?
