The D-Day

Before he even hatched, Nestor was afraid. He was scared inside the egg, scared when the egg broke, scared when his parents smiled at him… Over time, Nestor, what with his fears and cries, took up too much space in the nest. One night, the wind began to blow very forcefully at the branch the nest was resting on, and it cracked. And then, instead of unfolding, Nestor’s wings remained motionless and Nestor fell straight to the ground. Then, his worst fears, his worst scenarios… came true…
