Immediate boarding
for a destination…surprise!
Only luggage allowed: imagination and joy
In this sturdy board book for very young children, we set off on a journey through a variety of landscapes, with airplanes of all kinds and their very specific cargoes. One carries water, another seeds and confetti, another flowers, and yet another cotton candy.
But where are the airplanes going?
To the gardener’s!
Why?
Shh!
To secretly grow an enchanted garden for… the children of the neighbourhood.
Spirit of the book
After her first book Where Do the Trucks Go?, published in March 2025, Sophie Puls returns with a book full of airplanes — gender-neutral, playful, and poetic. With a rhythm reminiscent of a riddle-like nursery rhyme, it celebrates joyful diversity and boundless imagination, all while highlighting the creation of a shared, festive project.
Cleared for takeoff!
Author & Illustrator
Sophie Puls lives and works in Saumur. After studying literature and spending time travelling, she devoted herself to her passion for drawing and art, first as a graphic designer and later as an artist-author. A committed self-taught creator, her work is deeply poetic and closely tied to writing. She pairs text and image through a playful sense of comic contrast that defines her imaginative, whimsical universe.
She is also the author-illustrator at HongFei Editions of Where Do the Trucks Go? (03/2025).
